The Frederick Apple Core meets the second Saturday of each month from 10 AM to Noon at the Walkersville United Methodist Church. Users of Apple products (Macintosh, iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc.) are invited to attend. Club business, new developments, as well as user problems and solutions will be discussed. In addition to our general meetings, we have special events, including an annual “freecycle” event.

The December 2025 FAC meeting will be this coming Saturday, December 13 in the LIBRARY, Walkersville United Methodist Church. Enter from the formal double doors/front entrance (use the accessible ramp way/entrance doors) rather than the rear single door. Head down the hallway, turn left and head toward the church. The library is a room on the right. This is a small room with a conference table and additional seating around the perimeter.

Our agenda includes taking a look at the Legacy Contact feature in your Apple Account. This feature makes it easier for a spouse, child, parents, or other trusted person to request Apple for photos, messages, notes, reminders, device backups, and other data saved to your Apple Account. It also makes it easier to ask Apple to remove Activation Lock from the deceased person’s iPhone, iPad, Mac or other Apple devices so family members can sign in and use those devices.
